The tubes are applicable to the general population, but are particularly used on infants, small children, geriatric, and critical care patients from whom venous blood specimens are particularly difficult to obtain.

The cap colours correspond to those used in venous blood collection tubes to identify the tube additive.

Part of UN3373 transportation, either the primary or secondary needs to be 95kPa pressure approved, we range of sizes available, including Single Tube holder, C4, C5 and C6. We can offer customised sizes if you require this.

We supply a range of specimen transport pouches, suitable different department within trusts.

To comply with UN3373 guidelines, absorbency material needs to be present. We have range of absorbency materials available from 20ml all the way to 1ltr absorbency. One of the ways to reduce plastic pouch is to use large specimen bag with absorbency holder. 

We can provide customised UN3373 envelopes to help identify different screening programmes when the samples arrive in the lab.
